Julián and Joaquin Castro are Mexican-American politicians from the state of Texas. Julián is the Mayor of San Antonio (a city of over 2 million people), and is the youngest mayor of a major American city. Joaquin is a state representative in the Texas Legislature.
The Castro Brothers will talk about their life story - their rise from modest origins to graduate from Stanford University and Harvard Law School, and their awakening interest in politics and civic activism. They will also give an inside perspective as to what it is like to work on an American political campaign – both as volunteers and as the candidates themselves!
