CONFERENCE
The Book Donation is a great opportunity to replenish the Academic Library of the University of Latvia Ukrainian literature department catalogue with 136 valuable and newest books. These are remarkable and unique publications about Ukraine’s history, culture, literature and art. For example, the great Ukrainian Poet Taras Shevchenko’s selected works in six volumes, the publications dedicated to the prominent Ukrainian poet Lesya Ukrainka’s 130th anniversary. A special attention should be paid to V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University’s scientific publications in two volumes about the Kharkiv University at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries. The splendid photo albums present pictures of modern Ukrainian people, picturesque nature, national decorative art and tourist attractions.
The donated books, mainly in Ukrainian, can be used for education and research purposes.
The Donation will be presented by Alexander Kushnir, Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of Ukraine to Latvia.
