At the end of the current academic year, summer graduation ceremonies at the University of Latvia commence in June and continue up to July. Winter graduations for some study programmes take place at the end of the autumn semester - in January and February when hundreds of new specialists graduated from the University.
Traditionally graduation ceremonies are held at the heart of Alma Mater – at the Great Hall where the Rector of the University of Latvia awards diplomas to graduates. Each year about 40 formal graduation ceremonies are held for thousands of young professionals to receive their diplomas.
