On 10 April at 14.30, room 204, Asoc. Prof. dr. Mehmet Zeki Günay will give a guest lecture “Current Issues in Turkish Foreign Policy”.
This lecture wil examine the main issues, concepts and practices of the current Turkish foreign policy. The main regions, actors and issues for Turkey will be analyzed, focusing on the continuities and changes in the foreign policy priorities. Accordingly, the lecture mainly will cover Turkey's relationship with the US, the EU, and Russia together with its policy towards the Middle East, the Balkans, and the former Soviet territories.
Dr. Mehmet Zeki Günay is Assistant Professor in International Relations at Altınbaş University in Istanbul, Turkey. He has BA in International Relations from Bilkent University in Ankara, and MA in Eurasian Studies and PhD in International Relations from Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey. His research interests include Russian foreign policy, Russian politics, international organizations, and theories of International Relations.
