11 Georgian students graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Management with Master’s degree in European Studies on 18 June, 2010; they came to Latvia after the Russia-Georgia conflict in August 2008.

Seven students from Georgia within the frames of the European Neighborhood Policy received financial support from UL Faculty of Economics and Management. In addition, four Georgian students were supported by the European Commission Education and Culture DG grant, given to the European universities for European Studies programmes support from 2008 to 2010. All students from Georgia partner-universities have successfully completed their studies. About Master’s Degree Programme in European Studies Students during their studies in the Master’s Degree Programme in European Studies have the opportunity to take part in practical research week in Brussels and Luxemburg where they can meet with experts from EU institutions and NATO. Students can attend lectures of both UL and guest lecturers from partner-universities which provides for international study environment and broadens students’ perspective of viewing current events.
