CONFERENCE
The conference will focus on traditions of grammatical description and conceptions of grammar-related issues in general, typological, cognitive, functional, contrastive etc. studies of Latvian and other languages in the context of the last one hundred years.
The year 2018 also marks 120 years since the first comprehensive conceptual description of Latvian syntax – Karl Mühlenbach’s (1853–1916) book “Teikums” (Sentence) (1898).

Conference languages: Latvian, Lithuanian and English.
Presentation – 20 minutes (15 minutes for speaking and 5 minutes for discussion).
Conference fee – 30 EUR (to cover coffee break costs).
Please send registration forms (indicating your name, surname and academic affiliation) and abstracts (250–500 words) to kalnaca@latnet.lv by January 15, 2018. Notification of acceptance will be given by January 31, 2018.
