Mārcis Auziņš, a full member of the LAS, will receive the Medal for remarkable achievements in science.
The Grand Medal of the LAS is the highest award given by the LAS to Latvian and foreign scientists for their outstanding creative contributions.
The Grand Medal of the LAS is cast in bronze. The LAS emblem with the inscription “Academia Scientiarum Latviensis” is on its front and the name and family name of the person awarded and the date of awarding are engraved on the reverse side.
