CONFERENCE
Students and those who are about to graduate from secondary school are invited to visit the mini fair “Tartu: academic and cool” in early afternoon of Feb 24. They can receive first hand information on what one can do in a cool town of Tartu on a short week end trip to Estonia’s academic capital, and of course what one can study. Students can take part in a short quiz about Estonia/Tartu, win instant small prizes and have a chance to win the main prize – a week-end trip to Tartu.
Those who would like to get a glimpse of what it is like to be an international student at the University of Tartu and study in one of its many programs instructed in English may choose to attend a lecture given by UT faculty.
Absolutely everyone is welcome to enjoy the concert by the artists of the University of Tartu Viljandi Culture Academy, which promises to be a fusion of folk, contemporary music and vocal.
Come and listen while violin, guitar, bagpipe and flute transform into a lively and sparkling mix.
The evening will be finished off with a showing of “Singing Revolution”, legendary film telling the inspiring story of the events that led to Baltic countries regaining their independence We look forward to welcoming you Feb 24th at the University of Tartu Day at the University of Latvia and celebrating Estonian independence together.
