UL Institute of Literature, Folklore and Art

The Institute of Literature, Folklore and Art of the University of Latvia (ILFA UL) is a research organisation conducting internationally recognised studies in three fields: literary criticism, folklore studies and arts. The ILFA UL is also one of Latvian research institutions, which strategically develops and promotes research in digital humanities, actively maintains a dialogue between the humanities and cultural heritage industries. Scientific staff of the ILFA UL is involved in local and international research networks and associations, as well as working on their boards in certain cases. In 2012–2018, researchers participated in 37 international research projects, resulting in 120 international scientific publications.
