The Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences (FESS) of the University of Latvia (UL) was established in 2024 by merging the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Faculty of Business, Management and Economics as well as the Centre for European and Transition Studies. FESS conducts studies and research in economics and business, sociology and social work, political science, as well as media and communication studies. It offers the development of digital age skills and provides students the opportunity to fulfill their business ideas at the UL Business Incubator. FESS has over 3,000 students enrolled in 30 study programmes at all levels of studies.
Until the opening of the House of Letters at the UL Academic Centre in Torņakalns, studies will take place at:
- Aspazijas bulvāris 5 - study programmes in economics and business;
- Lauvas iela 4 - study programmes in sociology, social work, political science as well as communication science.
