The guest-lecture will take place on Monday, December 14, 2015 at the Faculty of Economics and Management (Aspazijas boulevard 5), Room 414 at 18:15-19:15.
The lecture will be held in English and followed by Q&A session and discussions.
Professor Dr. Emmanuel Brunet-Jailly is a Canadian politics and public policy scholar at the University of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, where he is professor of public policy. He is Jean Monnet Chair and director of the European Centre of Excellence. He is chief editor of the international scholarly publication Journal of Borderlands Studies (JBS). His current comparative and policy relevant research program, Borders In Globalization (funded by the Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada, and the European Union - 2012-19) focuses on current challenges to territorial border, on bordering and re-bordering processes, and the formation of a - territorial borders in 20 countries, thanks to a network of 30 research centres and about 100 active researchers.
